Over time, tap cartridge valves can become worn down and damaged, leading to leaks and other problems. We have all experienced a dripping tap; it’s annoying, to say the least. It can also be a waste of water. A worn-out cartridge is a common cause of a dripping tap.

There are several reasons why these cartridges fail, but the most common cause is wear and tear. Over time, the seals and o-rings inside the cartridge wear, allowing water to leak and seep out.

Whether you’re looking for a simple repair or a complete replacement, we have the perfect solution.

Reasons for cartridge failures are as follows;

  • Worn out o-rings
  • Age
  • Cold mineral deposits
  • Dirt and grime buildup

If you’re unfamiliar with what a shower cartridge is, it’s a bath and shower component that regulates the flow and temperature of the water.

Over time, mineral deposits can build up inside the cartridge, causing the valve to become less effective. In some cases, the valve may become completely blocked, preventing water from flowing through it completely.

Q: Do you provide a guarantee on cartridge replacement?

Yes. All cartridge replacement work is carried out by experienced engineers and is covered by our workmanship guarantee. Any manufacturer warranties on supplied parts also apply where relevant.
