The serviceteam process

You have something in your home or premises that needs fixing.

It may be useful to take some pictures to show what needs doing.

You call Serviceteam on 0203 538 7066 or fill in the online booking form on our website.

We will take payment card details to confirm the booking, but you can pay with a different card if you wish.

If your job is large or complex, we will appoint one of our handymen, electricians, plumbers or gas engineers to visit you and prepare a quote.

If your job is more simple, we will book a time for one of our tradesmen to come round and carry out the job.

Our schedulers will estimate how long a visit you will need from the information you give and book a slot accordingly.

We typically allow a two hour window for their arrival time.

The tradesman will arrive and show you his I.D.

He will always reassess the job on arrival to see if more time will be required than originally estimated.

When he begins the job, he will make a note of the time.

When the work is complete, the tradesman will show you a job ticket telling you what he has done with a detailed breakdown of the cost, which he will ask you to sign.

In the unlikely event that the work is substandard, call us back and we will arrange for it to be remedied at no charge.

We have a simple and open pricing structure

Choose this option if your job does not require any diagnostics and you know exactly what you need doing. (i.e. please replace my radiator or tap).

Our office based maintenance advisors will try to provide a quote using the information provided.

  • Costs = Free
  • Please allow up to 5 working days for us to produce the quote. Which will be sent to you via email.

Survey and Quote Visit

Choose this option if your job does not require any diagnostic works but is sufficiently complex to require a site visit to see exactly what work is involved and what materials or equipment are needed.

The survey visit will allow us to inspect what work needs doing and produce a quote for you.

  • This visit costs £40+VAT.
    Should the total value of the work be over £500 we will deduct the survey fee off the final invoice for the work.
  • You’ll need to pay £40+VAT at the end of the survey visit. The engineer will then prepare a quote for the whole job.
  • The survey is booked as a half-hour slot and the engineer will usually have to return on a separate day to actually undertake the work. However it may sometimes be possible to complete the work on the same visit.

Please allow up to 5 working days for us to produce the quote. Which will be sent to you via email.

By Time – Pay for the Time You Use

  • Choose this option if you have an emergency or a ‘to do’ list made up of one or a number of small jobs.
  • We’ll send you an engineer who can take care of all of the jobs on your list.
  • Our ‘by time’ rates are between: £40 – £45 + VAT per half-hour, subject to a minimum of 1 hour.
  • Our engineer will assess the works required and will provide you with an indication of how long they expect the works to take.
  • If we are unable to complete the works within the 1st visit, either because we need extra time or materials then we will provide you with a fixed price quote for the further works for your authorisation before proceeding.

Fixed Price – “Peace of Mind” Fixed Price

  • We are so used to completing a number of jobs that we are able to provide you with a fixed price before we visit.
  • You will find these services under our products on the website
